  • Usage Information. Your activity on our Website, such as title selections, escape rooms you have watched, the extent, duration, and frequency of access, what you click on while on our Website, and when you accessed the Website.
  • Location Information. We can use your IP address in order to track your current location.
  • Mobile Device Information. Information about the device you are using, such as hardware model, ID, operating system, browser, and IP addresses.
  • Information from other sources:

  • Information such as public databases, joint marketing partners, social media platforms (such as Facebook), as well as from other third parties. For example we can receive information from your social media profile (your name, gender, birthday, email, current city, state and country, user identification numbers for your contacts, profile picture URL and any other information that you choose to make public); marketing leads and search results and links, including paid listings (such as sponsored links).
  • Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies:

  • We use cookies, pixels, and other technologies (collectively "cookies") to recognize your browser or device, learn more about your interests, and provide you with essential features and services. You can choose whether to accept them or not. Escapedojo cookies allow you to take advantage of some of Escapedojo’s essential features. For instance, if you block or otherwise reject our cookies, you will not be able to contribute content, review escape rooms, add items to your Account, or use any Escapedojo Services that require you to sign in.
    Cookies can be deleted by you, at any time, in your browser settings. By using our Services, you consent to our use of cookies.
  • Google Analytics: We may use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect some information we listed above about your use of the Services. We use the information we get from Google Analytics to improve the Services. In order to collect this information, Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser or mobile device, or read cookies that are already there. Google Analytics may also receive information about you from apps you have downloaded that partner with Google. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Services to another application which partners with Google is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Notice. These number values are not permanently tied to your device and, depending on your operating system, you can reset it through your device settings.
  • Camera and Photos: Our features may require us to collect images and other information from your mobile device’s camera and photos. For example, you may not be able to upload photos of Escape Room experiences or from your camera roll unless we can access your camera or photos.
  • Use of Information

    We use your personal information to operate, provide, develop, and improve the products and services that we offer our customers.

    Collected information can be used for the following purposes:

  • To facilitate account creation and sign in process. If you decide to link your account with our Service using a third party account (such as your Google or Facebook account), we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate this procedure;
  • To secure our systems, prevent fraud and help us protect the security of Escapedojo accounts;
  • To analyze and understand our audience, improve our service (including our user interface experiences and service performance);
  • To communicate with you and to inform you about Escapedojo, our products and services, promos and special offers;
  • To enable user-to-user communications. We may use your information in order to enable user-to-user communications with each user's consent;
  • We may use your information for other Business Purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Website, products, services, marketing and your experience.

  • We will transfer your Personal Information to specific Escape Room Vendors (as defined in our Terms of Service), including in the event that you reserve an escape room, direct a question to that Vendor, or in the event the Vendor wishes to contact you directly;
  • We may transfer your Personal Information and/or Usage Information to third parties, including our hosting partners and other trusted third parties who assist us in operating the Services;
  • We may now or in the future share Usage Information with third parties to demonstrate the usage patterns for advertisements, marketing, content, functionality and/or promotions on the Services and/or on third party websites, or as we otherwise see fit, consistent with applicable law. Non-personally identifiable information, in an aggregated, anonymized form, such that you are not individually identified, may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses, as we see fit. For example, we may transfer Personal Information to certain advertising or marketing partners from whom you have asked to receive information. We reserve the right to share non-personally identifiable demographic information about our customers, sales and traffic to our partners and advertisers;

  • Access to Account

    To use certain features available on our Website, we may require that you create a user Account.
    You can create Account using Social networks (such as Facebook or Twitter), Google mail or inventing your own password.

  • Accounts allow users to have a distinct, personalized Escapedojo experience, built around the escape rooms and other activities of interest to them, as well as separate wishlist, bookings and reviews history.
  • In the case of registering and login using your third party social media account details (like your Facebook or Twitter logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain Account information about you as it was stated above.
  • In the case of creating your own password we use reasonable precautions to protect the privacy of your password and account information and to ensure that information collected through the Services is not lost, misused or altered inappropriately by administering security measures. You are ultimately responsible for protecting your password and account information from disclosure to third parties, and you are not permitted to circumvent the use of required encryption technologies.
  • We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy policy or that are otherwise made clear to you on the Site. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy policy to understand how they collect, use and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.
  • Your Choices

  • Email and Text Messages. If you no longer want to receive certain communications from us via email or text message, simply access the "Settings" option in the "Account" section of our website and uncheck those items to unsubscribe. Alternatively, click the "unsubscribe" link in the email.
    Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from service-related correspondence from us, such as messages relating to your account transactions.
  • Interest-Based Ads. Interest-based ads are online ads that are tailored to your likely interests based on your use of various apps and websites across the Internet. If you are using a browser, then cookies and web beacons can be used to collect information to help determine your likely interests. If you are using a mobile device or tablet that includes a resettable device identifier, then that identifier can be used to help determine your likely interests.   • Keeping your personal information

    We will keep your information until you delete your account. We retain your information for longer periods for specific purposes to the extent that we are obliged to do so in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and/or as necessary to protect our legal rights or for certain business requirements.   • Aggregated Usage Information – We will maintain anonymized usage data in an aggregated form in perpetuity, so that we can analyze our own usage information over time. This will not include any Personal Information.
  • Security, fraud & abuse prevention – i.e. to protect you, other people, and us from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Financial record-keeping – when you make a payment to us we are often required to retain this information for a longer period of time for purposes of accounting, dispute resolution and compliance with tax, anti-money laundering, and other financial regulations.
  • Complying with legal or regulatory requirements – to meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, as required to enforce our Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations.
  • Direct communications with us - if you have directly communicated with us, through a customer support channel, feedback form, or a bug report, we may retain reasonable records of those communications.
  • Even if you delete your account, keep in mind that the deletion by our third party providers may not be immediate and that the deleted information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time.

    Are Children Allowed to Use Escapedojo Services?

    Escapedojo Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you may not sign up for Escapedojo Services or submit information about yourself to Escapedojo.

    The Services may now or in the future contain links to other websites, and may contain advertisements of third parties. We may link to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other online platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any of those other websites. Please check with those websites in order to determine their privacy policies and your rights under them.

    We may use the services of third party service providers, for example to process payments and other transactions. We use a third party intermediary to manage credit card and debit card processing, and may partner with other service providers if you choose to make purchases using PayPal, Google Wallet or Apple Pay. The intermediary is not permitted to store, retain, or use your billing information except for the sole purpose of payment processing on our behalf and as permitted by their respective privacy policies.
